Oktoberfest

Join us on E 2nd St in downtown Chillicothe on Saturday, September 21st from 3p-10p for this year’s annual family friendly Oktoberfest.  This year Petland will sponsor Wiener Dog Races in the Majestic courtyard starting at 4pm and we will also provide a Kids Station where we will have face painting.   This evening you can dance the night away to tunes from Hazel’s Roadshow and Whisky Ridge, enjoy some traditional German fare and beer or try your luck at the beer chugging, yodeling or stein holding contest. This event is a State Qualifying Venue for the chance to compete in the Ohio State Championship in stein holding.  The winning male and female gain entry into the Ohio State Championship for a chance to win at state level.  For a chance to win “best dressed”, come dressed in your best dirndl, lederhosen or German garb.  Admission is $5.00/per person or $3.00/per person if wearing German clothing. Proceeds go towards the downtown flowers and the downtown Christmas lights.
